Arlene Thorpe, through Sue Bishop has this morning told us that she had heard from Brenda Tarrant and that Colin passed away last night. Sorry to be the bearer of sad news, Colin and Benda have been long standing DA members, and Colin has been a past Chairman. I’ll let you know, when I hear, when his funeral will be.
Our thoughts I am sure will be with Brenda at this sad time

We have decided to resurrect a feast of lanterns theme to this meet
So will welcome units lite up to make a bright and may be coulorful show after dark.
This year just as many lights as possible but will welcome suggestions on a theme for next year

Because of the tinder dry grass etc we have had to ban all Charcoal barbecues, Fire pits and open fires(always banned) on this site.
Gas ones on legs are still permitted,

There was a good turnout at St Lukes Church Hall, Stonecross, PEVENSEY and a warm welcome was received by the Chairman of the south eastern Region, Alan Armstrong who attended this year. Where the members where updated by the chairman Mick May and the commitee on the results of last year and their plans for this year and the future with the usual friendly banter.
We have a full committee again with Kevin Hawkins being given the Vice Chairmnns job.
